Origin and Purpose of Math

A 4-month series hosted by Hypothesis

What is math really, and how does this differ from popular conceptions of it?
We’ll discuss our experiences with mathematics and, more broadly, how math is perceived in the United States. Through sampling non-traditional means of accessing mathematical knowledge, we will strive for a deeper understanding of these questions.
